That's like a white man calling his African-American girl friend the "; The only Japanese person I have ever met who does NOT consider "jap" to be the equivlant of someone who is not black calling a black person the "N-word" is a Japanese-American comedian who uses it -- or used to use it -- in his act ("Suppose Japanese-Americans started calling each other the 'J-word' the way that black people call either other the 'N-word?' For sees Wayne on the street and says "Yo! What's happpening, J-word? Where the bud at?") Other than that, NO ONE referrs to their Japanese girl friend as a "; NEVER referrs to their Japanese girl friend as a "; As a "jap?" NEVER!
